With a clear understanding, we can begin to work on reducing pain and other symptoms through regular in-clinic sessions. You will also embark on a course of vestibular rehabilitation, a program designed to restore balance, relieve nausea and mitigate your sensitivity to light and noise so you can begin the process of managing the long-term effects.

This can be achieved through exercise therapy, balance and coordination training, and an emphasis on gross and fine motor skills.

We work closely with other healthcare providers involved in the child care plan and welcome the opportunity to integrate their goals and strategies into our treatment plans.

Most of our patients are funded through At Home Program.

Massage Therapy

Specialized RMT care
Massage therapy works with the soft tissues of the body to normalizing the tissues with manual techniques. Techniques include applying pressure or causing movement of/to the body and can be incredibly beneficial during the post-rehabilitation period, as the body needs to regain its natural range of motion and strength.

Our team of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are fully trained and ready to create a individualized wellness plan for every patient.

Pre / Post Surgical Orthopedics

Preparation for a speedy recovery
Your therapist will review your surgical plan in accordance with any pre-surgical conditions you may have going in. They will create an individualized pre- and post-operative mobility program to help you regain your strength and boost your confidence.

Painful joints can greatly impede your ability to lead an active life, and as such joint replacement surgery is very common; the goal is to help patients return to as many activities as possible with less pain and with greater freedom of movement. Patients are discharged from hospitals after surgery equipped with a one week exercise program, but should be supervised for approximately 1-3 months to promote optimal results. We offer crucial assistance before and after your operation with careful supervision and assisted exercise programs to prevent complications after surgery.

Joint replacement patients often receive sessions of out-patient physiotherapy during their time in hospital, but it is important to recognize that many patients need additional time to achieve a viable level of strength, mobility, and confidence. We can assist you with specifically designed sessions to compliment your hospital-based physiotherapy.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological rehabilitation is the retraining of your brain to perform tasks after an accident or illness compromises your physical or psychological abilities. Through a combination of in-home and in-clinic training, you’ll learn to mitigate and manage the neurological, behavioral and social effects caused by the remapping of your brain. This will include strength-building exercises, pain-relieving techniques, mobility-enabling activities and daily living accommodations to make actions like eating, dressing, bathing and accessing the toilet easier.

Delivered properly, neurological rehabilitation will help you regain some or all of your independence, restore your self-esteem, improve your mood and prepare you for anything you might face later in life as a result of your situation. Our highly experienced team of physiotherapists are uniquely trained to provide the most up-to-date therapeutic resources to maximize your potential.

Neurological rehabilitation is just as important for your family and caregivers as it is for you. Empowering them with a deeper knowledge of your condition and goals will allow them to better understand how to support you.
